The Sun is launching a Video Apprentice role to join our fast-paced digital storytelling team. You will edit clips, research guests, and help shape creative ideas for entertainment, news and sports videos across YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook.
You’ll work four days a week with The Sun and spend one day studying toward a fully funded NCTJ Diploma in Journalism, receiving mentorship from top editors and producers in a dynamic environment.

As a Video Apprentice at The Sun, you will immerse yourself in the fast-paced world of digital storytelling alongside our video production team. You will support daily video editing and production across entertainment, news, and sports, creating high-performing content for platforms like YouTube, TikTok, and Facebook. Working closely with senior editors and producers, you will help shape creative ideas from initial guest research to final post-production edits.
During your time with us, you will earn above the national living wage while receiving comprehensive, hands-on training. You’ll work 4 days a week with The Sun and spend 1 day studying toward a fully funded NCTJ Diploma in Journalism. Along with mentorship from top industry professionals, we will provide any tailored support you need to reach your full potential.
