Job summary

Barnsley College is seeking a new Vice Principal – Quality and Performance. You will report to the Principal and CEO and be responsible for the effectiveness of quality across the institution, including quality assurance, improvement and learner outcomes.

You will lead Ofsted-related activity, strengthen performance and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including the Higher Education quality agenda with OfS.

Responsibilities

• Provide inspirational strategic leadership for quality assurance, quality improvement and performance across the college.
• Lead all Ofsted-related activity, driving continuous improvement and ensuring outstanding educational outcomes.
• Oversee engagement with Office for Students (OfS) and ensure regulatory compliance.

Barnsley College is a large tertiary College serving the Barnsley Metropolitan Borough and surrounding areas in South Yorkshire. The College is the main provider of post-16 education in the borough and plays a vital role within the Yorkshire and Humber region.

We are now seeking a new Vice Principal – Quality and Performance. You will play a visible role in the college, reporting directly to the Principal and CEO. As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team and the College's Quality Nominee, you will hold overall responsibility and accountability for the effectiveness of quality across the institution. You will provide inspirational strategic leadership for quality assurance, quality improvement, and performance, ensuring the highest standards are embedded throughout the college and maintaining a focus on delivering outstanding outcomes for learners. You will lead all Ofsted-related activity, driving continuous improvement, strengthening performance, enhancing the learner experience, and ensuring the college consistently delivers exceptional educational outcomes and opportunities for all students. In addition, you will be responsible for Barnsley College’s Higher Education quality agenda, overseeing engagement with the Office for Students (OfS) and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
