Job summary

Outwood Academy Ormesby invites applications for a Vice Principal to steer Deep area initiatives and deliver high-quality leadership across curriculum areas and year groups. The successful candidate will play a key intervention and challenge role, with potential consultancy across the Trust and even principal deployment when needed.

The role requires flexibility, a strong track record in leadership, safeguarding knowledge, and readiness to contribute to ambitious school improvement plans.

Qualifications

• Essential qualifications include a PGCE or equivalent, evidence of continued professional development, and actively working towards the NPQH.
• Strong understanding of safeguarding and familiarity with The Deeps.
• Experience leading, project management, and developing a school development plan and self-evaluation.
• Experience preparing or supporting staff through Ofsted inspections.

Responsibilities

• Lead one or more Deep areas and provide high-quality leadership across curriculum areas and year groups.
• Support the Trust's National Leadership in Education status and advise other schools as needed.
• Promote international links, champion equality of opportunity, and support personal professional development toward principalship.
