Job Description

Are you a strong leader with experience in trade products? This position might be for you! As a Vice President Transaction Control Manager within the Ops Risk team, you will handle trade finance escalations, explore new business opportunities, and identify risks related to Sanctions, Money Laundering, Boycott, Export Control, and Fraud. You will also coach potential leaders and promote diversity and inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team across multiple locations, building a high-performing, supportive environment.
• Implement a performance management culture based on merit, communication, and feedback.
• Promote diversity and inclusion through coaching, mentoring, and team building.
• Engage with internal and external partners to resolve transaction escalations and provide risk assessments.
• Advise on trade transactions and new business opportunities, recommending risk mitigation strategies.
• Monitor and manage global trade transaction risks, minimizing exposure to errors, failures, and fraud.
• Develop and deliver trade compliance training programs.
• Act as a change champion in global trade finance risk and controls.
• Provide expertise on trade transformation projects, including digitization and automation.

Qualifications & Skills

• Extensive knowledge of trade products such as letters of credit, documentary collections, trade loans, and open accounts.
• Expertise in ICC Rules (UCPDC, ISBP, URC, ISP, URR) and SWIFT messaging.
• Knowledge of US regulations like BSA/AML, OFAC, and Anti-Boycott laws.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Decisive risk-based decision-making abilities.
• Process analysis and improvement skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a high-pressure environment.
• Experience in trade, risk, compliance, or audit areas.
• People management experience.

Preferred

• CDCS and CAMS certifications.
• Experience in trade digitization or automation.
