Job description

Vice President, Tech M&A

Our investment banking practice assists middle-market companies and is differentiated by industry expertise and superior deal execution. The technology and business services investment banking team is focused on working with middle-market technology and business services clients on mergers, acquisitions and capital raises. Our strength stems from our deep domain expertise across key sub-sectors of technology and technology-enabled services, our extensive transaction experience, our tenured relationships with strategic buyers and private equity firms, and our global reach.

Our professionals balance analytical and deal execution skills, market insight and relationships with key decision makers to deliver outstanding transaction outcomes to our clients. As an organization, we think globally, and the technology and business services team operates seamlessly together from offices in Palo Alto, Los Angeles, New York, Boston, Washington DC, London and Munich.

Day to day responsibilities:

· Work on a variety of sell-side, buy-side and fundraising transactions, from initial client pitches through to transaction closing

· Ensure quality of client deliverables by having a strong attention to detail

· Communicate financial and regulatory information and complex strategic issues in a clear, concise and relevant manner to assist and guide decision-makers in corporate finance transactions

· Mentor and develop staff – associates and analysts

· Ability to market services both to internal partners and external clients, develop client networks, and support efforts in developing and executing sales and marketing strategies

· Individuals will be assigned a wide variety of projects and given as much responsibility as their experience and capabilities permit

Essential Traits:

· Minimum of 5 years’ experience at a bulge bracket, reputable boutique or corporate finance advisory firm with demonstrable M&A execution experience

· Domain expertise across key sub-sectors of technology and technology-enabled services

· Demonstrated experience with managing day to day aspects of client relationships, transactions and projects

· Strong desire to be involved in originating work within the technology and technology-enabled services sector and networking to help build on the firm’s strong sector franchise

· Ability to make effective decisions by analysing information and considering priorities

· Dedication to teamwork, demonstrated leadership potential and strong personal integrity

· Ability to prioritise tasks, work on multiple assignments and manage rapidly changing assignments in a team environment

· Demonstrated track record of superior academic and career performance; demonstrated commitment to outstanding results

· Flexibility to travel, as needed
