Job summary

Mizuho EMEA is seeking a senior CIB Credit Risk professional to maintain and monitor credit quality for the EMEA lending book. You will analyze project finance transactions across a broad sector mix and prepare actionable credit reports for senior management. Strong communication and regulatory compliance knowledge are essential.

The role requires cross-cultural collaboration within Group 3, with hybrid working arrangements and opportunities for career progression.

Qualifications

• Advanced credit analysis and research skills, including cash flow modelling.
• Experience lending to and analysing project finance propositions in the EMEA region.
• Willingness to expand responsibility to infrastructure and real estate finance.
• Solid understanding of financial markets and ability to interpret financial statements.

Responsibilities

• Carry out thorough analysis of credit and rating applications for new transactions and reviews.
• Prepare credit reports and recommendations to Senior Management for final credit judgment.
• Attend bank meetings and on-site visits to gain understanding of credit where needed.
• Monitor developments across allocated sectors and flag risk factors to Senior Management.
• Conduct credit reviews and assess internal ratings regularly and ad-hoc.
