Job Description:

Energy Dome is the owner and developer of CO2 Battery technology, a ground-breaking innovation which uses carbon dioxide in a closed-loop thermodynamic process to provide efficient, affordable long-duration energy storage (LDES) for intermittent renewables - the key to enabling decarbonization of the global power system.

The CO2 Battery is already proven in operation at Energy Dome’s MW-scale demonstration project in Sardinia, Italy, and the company is expanding rapidly with its first full-scale (20MW/200MWh) commercial projects already under construction or awarded in Italy and the United States. The company has a robust pipeline in the USA, EU, Australia, Chile, Oman, India and other key LDES markets.

Responsibilities

• Seasoned project developer, having taken renewable and power generation projects from the origination concept phase to Ready-to-Build. Experience in leading projects to financial close is a significant plus.
• Engineering degree or significant exposure and experience in a project development environment with technical content.
• A minimum of 10 years relevant work experience within the energy storage, renewables (solar, wind, hydro), conventional power (e.g., thermal), or broader energy sector.
• Demonstrable skills and knowledge in managing development partners, negotiating land titles, securing grid interconnection, obtaining permits, and negotiating tolling or power purchase agreements.
• Project risk management skills to identify and mitigate risks with the required attention to detail.
• Prior experience in a technology scale-up is viewed favourably but not necessary.
• Ability to develop processes, procedures, and playbooks to codify best practices across the firm.

Role Location:

The role can be based in either Europe (with a preference for Milan but open to remote locations) or the USA (with a preference for Boston but open to other locations).
