Job summary

Selby Jennings is partnering with a leading private credit platform to appoint a Vice President to its London investment team. This role focuses on evaluating, underwriting, executing and monitoring investments across Europe, working alongside senior investment professionals, sponsors and advisors.

The candidate will lead deal execution, build sophisticated credit models, perform thorough due diligence, and prepare committee papers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent academic background.
• Advanced financial modelling, valuation and credit underwriting skills.
• Experience analysing and executing debt transactions across sponsor-backed and non-sponsored situations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the execution of private credit transactions from initial screening through to closing.
• Build and review detailed financial models and credit analyses.
• Conduct commercial, financial and operational due diligence.
• Prepare investment committee papers and recommendations.
• Evaluate capital structures, risk profiles, and downside protection.
• Monitor portfolio investments and support portfolio management activities.
• Develop relationships with private equity sponsors, investment banks, and other market participants.

We are partnering with a leading private credit platform seeking to appoint a Vice President to its London investment team. This is an opportunity to join a growing and highly active investor focused on delivering flexible capital solutions to private equity-backed and corporate borrowers across Europe.

The successful candidate will play a key role in evaluating, underwriting, executing, and monitoring investments while working closely with senior investment professionals, sponsors, management teams, and advisors.

• 5-10 years of experience within Private Credit or Leveraged Finance
• Strong understanding of credit investing, debt structures, and leveraged transactions
• Proven experience analysing and executing debt transactions across sponsor-backed and non-sponsored situations
• Advanced financial modelling, valuation, and credit underwriting skills
• Strong commercial judgement and ability to assess risk-adjusted returns
• Experience interacting with private equity sponsors, management teams, banks, and advisors
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent academic background
