Overview

My client a world leader within the Cyber world is currently looking for a Global VP of Vendor Sales. This role shapes and executes the global vendor portfolio strategy, deepening strategic partnerships, and driving profitable growth through market expansion, increased share and improving commercial terms.

This role leads vendor relationship management, operations, and segment engagement, while collaborating across regional and functional teams to align vendor success with the broader business strategy.

Key Responsibilities
Vendor Portfolio Strategy & Governance
  • Define and build strategic programs for vendors, focusing on analytical insights and program development (vs sales).
  • Lead the executive sponsor program and GM / C-level strategic CxO relationships with vendors.
  • Define the global vendor portfolio strategy across all companies.
  • Chair the Global Vendor Success Board (GVSB), making key decisions on vendor onboarding, expansion, and exit.
  • Evaluate and prioritize existing / prospective strategic vendors based on alignment with long-term business goals.
Strategic Vendor Engagement & Growth Planning
  • Leading CxO engagement and QBRS; driving strategic discussions focusing on reducing churn and optimizing costs, leveraging across countries / regions and communicating EXN value.
  • Build proactive vendor relationships; create value propositions & unsolicited proposals to identify problems and offer solutions.
  • Build and execute strategic growth plans with key vendors, focusing on mutual value creation, investment, and services expansion.
  • Maximize commercial terms and optimize rebates, incentives and stocking.
Vendor Development, Operations & Enablement
  • Build and lead the Global Vendor Development team from recruitment to acquisition.
  • Support the development of a best-in-class Vendor Operations function that supports field GTM teams, optimizes rebates and delivers operational excellence to vendors.
  • Implement and optimize a Vendor Relationship Management organization to track strategic plans, execution, and performance improvement actions.
Cross-Functional & Field Execution Leadership
  • Ensure scalability and efficiency of strategic vendor engagement by centralizing and streamlining processes.
  • Work with the Regional vendor, Leadership team, Sales, Services, and country MDs to align end-to-end vendor strategy, facilitating the alignment of internal vendor resources.
  • Build vendor content and value for GTM alignment and presentations to ensure vendor strategy timely to all GTM motions.
  • Support country teams and vendor teams with pipeline planning, account reviews and channel strategies to increase value delivery.
