Job description

Join us at Barclays as a Vice President in the Risk Solutions Group (RSG). The UK team in RSG helps corporate clients hedge their financial exposures by identifying, structuring, and executing interest rate hedges, typically through derivatives. RSG works closely with coverage and product bankers, as well as colleagues in Markets, Credit Risk, and Legal, to deliver solutions to our clients.

Role Overview:

As a Corporate Risk Solutions Vice President, you will oversee the Mid-Cap UK business, working with the team and partners across the bank to deliver optimal solutions to our client franchise.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience in Corporate hedging solutions and risk management
  • Familiarity with the mid-cap market and corporate banking processes
  • Proven understanding of debt transaction cycles
  • Previous client management experience
  • Project management and organisational expertise

Additional valued skills include stakeholder management and understanding of professional ethics and regulatory environment.

The role is based in our London Office and is a Certified role under PRA & UK FCA regulations, possibly requiring regulatory qualifications.

Purpose of the Role:

To raise capital and manage clients' financial risks, including financial advisory, market opportunity identification, research, and economic analysis.

Accountabilities:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with corporate, financial, and institutional clients
  • Create complex financial models for asset valuation and capital structuring
  • Collaborate with various teams for transaction origination and execution
  • Assess and manage risks in capital market transactions
  • Conduct research and financial data analysis to inform market insights
