Job description

As VP of Marketing at Pactum, you will be a strategic leader shaping and executing our global marketing vision to drive substantial revenue growth and establish market leadership for our agentic-AI solutions. This role demands a strong strategic grasp of the procurement technology landscape, procurement business processes, and the complex needs of large enterprise customers. You will build, mentor, and lead a high-performing marketing team, ensuring all initiatives are closely aligned with business goals and directly contribute to pipeline generation and brand strength.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership & Vision:

  • Develop and champion the overall global marketing strategy and vision that directly supports Pactum's revenue goals and long-term business objectives.
  • Translate business strategy into a cohesive, actionable marketing plan across all functions (brand, communications, product marketing, demand generation, field enablement).
  • Be a vocal spokesperson for Pactum as a tier 1 leader in autonomous savings for enterprise procurement
  • Lead the marketing and SDR team in setting ambitious, data-driven goals and KPIs, ensuring consistent measurement and optimization.
  • Contribute to overall company strategy as a key member of the leadership team, representing the voice of the customer and market.

Product Marketing & Market Leadership:

  • Oversee and guide the development of compelling product positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies that clearly articulate Pactum's unique value proposition and competitive differentiation.
  • Direct the identification and refinement of Ideal Customer Profiles (ICPs) and target audiences, ensuring deep market understanding informs all strategies.
  • Drive the narrative around autonomous negotiation, positioning Pactum as the undisputed leader and innovator in the space.
  • Champion market intelligence, ensuring the organization has a deep understanding of the competitive landscape, industry trends, and customer insights to inform product roadmap and marketing efforts.

Brand & Communications:

  • Elevate and expand Pactum's global brand presence and thought leadership in autonomous savings and procurement technology.
  • Direct comprehensive internal and external communications strategies, including PR, media relations, analyst relations, and corporate messaging.
  • Lead the strategic development of a high-impact content strategy that educates, engages, and converts target audiences across all stages of the buyer journey.
  • Oversee website strategy and management, ensuring it serves as a powerful hub for brand messaging, content, and lead capture.

Demand Generation & Revenue Impact:

  • Architect and optimize a scalable, metrics-driven demand generation engine that consistently delivers high-quality pipeline and accelerates sales cycles.
  • Oversee the strategic planning and execution of integrated inbound and outbound campaigns, leveraging advanced ABM strategies, digital channels, events, and strategic partnerships.
  • Own the global pipeline generation targets across all marketing-influenced channels, including inbound, SDR, AE, Alliances, and Customer Expansion.
  • Drive continuous improvement through A/B testing, data analysis, and adoption of marketing automation best practices.

Sales Enablement & Alignment:

  • Develop and implement robust sales enablement programs that empower the sales team with the tools, content, and training needed to effectively articulate value and close deals.
  • Foster strong collaboration between marketing and sales leadership to ensure seamless lead hand-off, consistent messaging, and shared revenue accountability.
  • Oversee the creation of high-impact sales collateral, presentations, case studies, and competitive battle cards.

Team Leadership & Development:

  • Recruit, mentor, and develop a world-class marketing team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous learning.
  • Provide strong leadership, guidance, and performance management to direct reports and the broader marketing function.
  • Manage the marketing budget effectively, optimizing spend for maximum ROI.
Qualifications:
  • Based in the United Kingdom or in the United States, preferably on the East Coast.
  • Marketing degree, or equivalent business experience in B2B enterprise marketing. MBA preferred.
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in B2B technology marketing, with a significant portion in a leadership role (e.g., Head of Marketing, Senior Director, VP).
  • Proven track record of building and scaling marketing functions that directly contribute to significant revenue growth in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Experience in, and strategic understanding of the procurement industry and its challenges is a mandatory requirement.
  • Strong understanding of AI, machine learning, and autonomous technology; ability to articulate complex technical concepts into clear business value.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute complex, multi-channel marketing strategies from conception to execution and measurement.
  • Expertise in market research, data analysis, and translating insights into actionable strategies.
  • Highly strategic and creative thinker with strong problem-solving skills and an ability to navigate ambiguity.
  • Proven ability to lead, inspire, and manage high-performing teams, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment.

Compensation details:

At Pactum, we pay competitive salaries to ensure that our employees know they are valued. We set standard ranges for all of our positions benchmarked against companies in similar stages of growth and revenue, dependent on job function, expertise level, academic achievements, and geographic location.

We offer a competitive total compensation package for this role, with on-target earnings (OTE) in the range of $200,000 to $250,000 annually, complemented by additional company equity.
