Who we are looking for:

We are currently looking for a Vice President, Human Resources – Cable Management & Protection (CM&P) to be based out of our UK (Dudley / West Bromwich) or Belgium (Oudenaarde, BE) offices. The position works directly for the Vice President, Global Human Resources and works closely with the President, CM&P and their leadership team. This person will be responsible for leading a team of globally based Human Resources Business Partners and acting as a strategic business partner within client groups in creating and leading HR solutions to ensure overall performance within those groups.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, and a minimum of years progressive success in various HR assignments (preferably global in nature). Experience in a lean manufacturing environment or a with a business system-based company is a plus.

What you will do:

  • Lead and develop a team of Human Resources Business Partners across a geographically diverse footprint including the UK, EU, and APAC.
  • Act as the day-to-day business partner for the CM&P President and leadership team with an emphasis on talent management to build the best team possible
  • Contribute as a key HR leader for the CM&P HR team, drive process improvements for enterprise-wide HR programs and best practices, including those that you eventually become the ‘owner’
  • Continuously improve HR metrics and the HR dashboard, including focus on improving time-to-fill, employee engagement, and turnover. Develop and consistently report monthly and quarterly KPI’s with a run to red and countermeasure mindset.
  • Manage through their team the full-cycle recruitment for all positions within client groups.
  • Increase team’s effectiveness by recruiting, training, coaching and addressing performance shortfalls; communicating values, strategies and objectives, assigning accountability, monitoring and appraising job performance; developing incentives that are aligned with corporate and local objectives
  • Organizational development and performance management working across various cultures and geographies. Evaluate and upgrade (if necessary) the existing talent found within the business and be responsible for further cultivating a culture that is entrepreneurial, market driven, and competitive
  • Drive % on-time-delivery to the annual HR calendar activities (merit review, organizational leadership review, compliance action plans, performance reviews, etc.).
  • Ensure that the CM&P team honors Atkore’s core values of Accountability, Teamwork, Integrity, Respect, and Excellence in all aspects of their daily work.

What you will bring:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or an equivalent discipline (this is required; additional higher education is great!)
  • + years of experience in Human Resources across multiple HR disciplines and global environments, preferably in a mid-sized company; manufacturing experience is strongly preferred
  • A capacity for a fast-paced, high-growth environment. We’re looking for someone that is adaptable to changes in the work environment, comfortable with multiple competing demands and who is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events in a calm and logical manner.
  • Excellent and proven leadership skill with the ability to engage global workforces across different time zones and cultures to foster a winning environment.
  • Track record of building and maintaining a strong and enduring organizations, including development of leaders
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills; must interact effectively with all levels of employees in a team-based environment.

  • Be fully competent in navigating Atkore’s HRIS (UKG) and be almost completely familiar with the day-to-day ‘standard work’ for all HR process relevant to Atkore’s HR Business Partners.

  • Maintain strong relationships and connectivity to its key internal and external customers so that capabilities can be put into place ahead of need.
