What is the opportunity?

The role of Vice President, Funding and Liquidity, works within the Global Markets Treasury Services business unit supporting the Cash & Liquidity Management pod within F&L Europe to execute treasury trading activity, liability management and aiding decision making on business strategy, planning and balance sheet optimisation.

What will you do?

  • Execute funding transactions including deposit raising and issuing RY paper via ECD and EMTN markets.
  • Engagement with dealers, inter-dealer brokers and investors to support funding activities in the region.
  • Proactive and efficient daily management of funding, liquidity, and cash positions for Europe, in adherence with LCR and internal liquidity requirements.
  • Work in close coordination with other teams to identify and generate opportunities to maximise revenues, minimise costs, and optimise balance sheet.
  • Offer analytical and coding support for business planning and strategic development tasks, including the automation of workflows and desk processes
  • Communicate risk positions and market developments to senior management and across the TS centres.
  • Provide guidance and mentor new colleagues in treasury concepts, build corporate knowledge and assume independence in delivering business objectives.
  • Take an active part in initiating and supporting initiatives and strategies to generate revenue and efficiently manage risks relating to TS.
  • Ensure a prompt and high-level service and delivery to all internal and external stakeholders on requests for information.
  • Proactively identify operational risks/control deficiencies in the business.
  • Escalate operational risk events, control deficiencies and risks to management.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • FCA registered.

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent in business or commerce.

  • Coding ability is essential

  • Strong organisational and project management skills with the ability to multi-task effectively.

  • Ability to analyse, dissect information, and produce clear and concise reports.

  • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.

Nice-to-have

  • Strong quantitative background.
