Vice President – Finance (Corporate Banking)

Our client, an international corporate bank with a significant presence in London, is looking to strengthen their finance team by hiring a VP of Finance. This role reports directly to the UK business head and administratively to the global head office. The ideal candidate is a qualified accountant with 12 years of experience in the corporate banking sector, with exposure to corporate banking products, UK regulations, taxation laws, and cross-border transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Take ownership of financial controls and governance for the entity.
2. Manage all direct and indirect taxes of the branch, including tax reporting and management.
3. Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and reporting activities.
4. Handle administrative and procurement tasks.
5. Manage the general ledger, monitor, and report all sundry account activities.

Key Requirements:

1. 10-12 years of experience in finance functions within corporate banks in the UK/Europe.
2. Deep understanding of corporate banking and financial products.
3. Strong knowledge of UK banking regulations.
4. Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance and a relevant qualification.
5. Experience with implementing core banking and ERP systems.
