Job Description:

Our client, an international corporate bank with a significant base in London, is looking to bolster their finance function by hiring a VP of Finance. This role reports directly to the UK business head and administratively to the global head office. The ideal candidate is a qualified accountant with 12 years of experience in corporate banking, with exposure to corporate banking products, UK regulations, taxation laws, and cross-border transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of financial controls and governance for the entity.
• Manage all direct and indirect taxes of the branch, including tax reporting and management.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and reporting efforts.
• Handle administrative and procurement tasks.
• Act as the branch custodian, managing the general ledger, monitoring, and reporting all sundry account proofing.

Key Requirements:

• 10-12 years of experience in finance functions of corporate banks in the UK/Europe.
• Deep understanding and exposure to corporate banking and financial products.
• Solid knowledge of UK banking regulations.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and relevant qualifications.
• Experience with implementing core banking and ERP systems.
