Job summary

BNY is seeking a Vice President, Compliance Officer to join the Pershing and Markets Compliance team in Manchester, UK. You will lead regulatory change oversight, maintain governance, and advise on complex regulatory matters across EMEA, partnering with stakeholders to prioritise implementation and reporting.

You will possess extensive FCA knowledge, UK regulatory understanding, and experience with major frameworks (COBS, SYSC, SMCR, DISP, MiFID, COLL, CASS, MAR).

Qualifications

  • Compliance experience within financial services, with strong knowledge of FCA regulations relating to custody, client assets, clearing and settlement activities.
  • Strong understanding of UK regulatory developments, including experience analysing consultation papers, policy statements and regulatory thematic reviews.
  • Working knowledge of key regulatory frameworks including COBS, SYSC, SMCR, DISP, MiFID, COLL, CASS and MAR, with Irish and Jersey regulatory knowledge desirable.
  • Proven ability to provide practical compliance advice, influence stakeholders and communicate effectively with a range of audiences.
  • Experience working within a global organisation and collaborating across business, compliance and regulatory functions in multiple jurisdictions.
  • Familiarity with compliance risk management frameworks, regulatory change programmes, compliance projects and emerging technologies, including AI.

Responsibilities
