Job summary

St Mary the Virgin, Finedon is seeking a Vicar to provide stable, collaborative leadership for our single-church parish, guiding us into the next chapter of our life and mission.

You will lead worship with faithfulness and warmth, maintain our choral tradition, and work with our Assistant Priest and lay leaders to encourage discipleship and ministry. Strong links with local schools and community groups are valued.

Qualifications

• Lead worship with Anglican faithfulness, creativity and warmth.
• Nurture and extend our choral tradition, including Choral Evensong, inviting children and families.
• Collaborate with clergy and lay leaders to grow discipleship and ministry.
• Build strong links with local schools and community groups.
• Be a visible, approachable presence offering pastoral care and confident leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead worship with faithfulness, creativity and warmth, valuing Anglican tradition and fresh expression.
• Maintain and nurture the choral tradition, including Choral Evensong, while engaging children, families and newcomers.
• Work with the Assistant Priest and lay leaders to encourage discipleship and develop ministry.
• Build strong relationships with local schools, community groups and organisations across the town.
• Be a visible, approachable presence, offering pastoral care, preaching and leadership.
