The Diocese of Southwell and Nottingham invites applications for the role of Vicar at St James Porchester. You will lead a welcoming church with energy, vision and potential for growth, rooted in prayer and Scripture, across Mapperley, Carlton and Gedling.

You will nurture discipleship, build community connections, and provide wise leadership through change, empowering lay and ordained ministry within a collaborative parish team.

Qualifications

• When leading worship, base it on prayer and Scripture for all ages.
• Grow participation among children, youth, and younger adults.
• Build parish relationships across Mapperley, Carlton and Gedling.
• Provide wise, courageous and compassionate leadership through change.
• Nurture lay and ministry gifts within a shared culture of service.

Responsabilités

• Lead worship rooted in prayer and Scripture accessible to all ages.
• Grow the church among children, young people, younger adults and those under 45.
• Build relationships across the parish including its expanding new housing developments.
• Deepen discipleship and help people grow in confidence, prayer and faith.
• Offer leadership through change and nurture lay and ministry gifts.
