Job summary

Vertical Aerospace seeks a Vibroacoustic engineer to understand Valo’s real-world vibration and acoustic behaviour. You will define and support DO-160-like vibration qualification, manage vibroacoustic models, and work with Flight Physics, test, certification, systems, and supplier teams to turn complex data into practical engineering decisions.

This hands-on role suits someone with a strong foundation in structural dynamics, vibration testing, and ability to solve problems with incomplete data

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in structural dynamics and vibroacoustics.
• Experience supporting vibration testing or qualification testing.
• Ability to analyse accelerometer data from ground/flight testing.
• Comfort working with external partners to resolve test issues.
• Experience in aerospace, rotorcraft, or eVTOL environments.
• Exposure to certification evidence for vibration or qualification testing.

Responsibilities

• Own and support DO-160 operational vibrations and shock qualification activity.
• Manage vibroacoustic models and assess vibration/noise behaviour.
• Analyse data from ground testing and flight test activity.
• Plan, troubleshoot, and review evidence with suppliers and teams.
• Collaborate with Flight Physics, test, certification, systems, and suppliers.
• Develop and qualify Valo through modelling, analysis, testing, and hands-on work.
