Job summary

The Bridles care home in Wincanton is seeking an Activity Coordinator (part time) to lead engaging daily activities for residents. You will design and run sessions, manage an activities planner, and work within a set budget to create joyful, meaningful experiences that support residents’ wellbeing.

This role is with Bupa, a health insurer and provider focused on compassionate, person-centred care. You’ll collaborate with care teams, arrange external events, and contribute to a warm, inclusive

Qualifications

• You’re a creative thinker with plenty of ideas, who can also manage budgets and maintain paperwork, effectively managing priorities as they arise. Wanting to make a real difference, you’re interested in caring for others, sharing your sense of humour and spreading your infectious enthusiasm for making people’s lives better.

Responsibilities

• Running morning and afternoon activity sessions.
• Producing and updating an activity planner for the home, working to a set activities budget
• Organising birthday surprises for our residents
• Liaising with external companies and performers from the local community to organise days out/events at the home
• Organising one to ones with our residents, this might involve reminiscing tools, puzzles, reading or just a cup of tea and a chat
• Supporting the home with their social media channels as required
