Vetting and Onboarding Assistant, London

This is a remote position.

Position: Vetting & Onboarding Assistant - Contract - Remote/UK

Start Date: ASAP

Location: Fully Remote (must be UK based)

Working Hours: Full time, 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday

Compensation: Traditional Day Rate: £140/day inside IR35 via an Umbrella company
Agreed Contract Rate (ACR): £107.46/day (post employer costs)
Annual Salary Equivalent: £27,938.57
Monthly Salary: £2,328.21
Monthly Holiday Pay: £281
Total Monthly Pay: £2,609.22
Net Pay: £2,194.46

Role Overview

The Vetting & Onboarding Assistant will support the onboarding process for new contractors across UK projects, ensuring compliance and smooth onboarding procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Onboarding new starters by entering candidate details, conducting vetting checks such as employment references, background checks (e.g., DBS, financial probity).
  • Managing contract extensions, transfers, and leavers.
  • Coordinating pre-employment checks to meet compliance standards.
  • Escalating issues and delays in onboarding to relevant recruiters.
Skills and Requirements
  • Previous experience as an onboarding/vetting assistant with detailed CV evidence.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
