Job summary

Arun Veterinary Group in Worthing is seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to work across our Worthing clinics. You will be based between both sites and provide general practice care with a focus on cats, delivering compassionate, high-quality treatment.

You should be an experienced MRCVS with at least 3+ years UK GP experience, able to do sole charge, routine procedures and dentals. We offer a 4-day week, salary £45,000–£65,000+ per year, generous CPD funding, pension, 7 weeks holiday, staff discounts

As a veterinary surgeon with an interest in general practice, you will be based at our two clinics in Worthing. We work collaboratively with our other Hospitals based in Storrington and Chichester and our branches, night teams at South Downs Emergency Vets to deliver exceptional, personalised care to our patients 24/7, and also with our referral team, South Downs Veterinary Referrals to support referral level cases for Advanced Practitioners. The interior design in our clinics provides a warm, comforting, home-from-home feeling. It’s hard to put into words, but you’ll feel the difference as soon as you walk through the door.

About you

You’ll be an experienced Veterinary Surgeon (MRCVS) with an added passion for cats! You’ll have at least 3+ years GP practical experience within the UK. You will be an experienced all-rounder branch Vet, be able to do sole charge, routine procedures and dentals. We are committed to developing vets with an enthusiastic and passionate approach to enhancing their skills.

Your benefits will include generously funded CPD (Certificate funding available); standard pension benefit; 40% staff discount for own pets; generous holiday (7 weeks, including bank holidays) and occupational health resources, including mental health support. Rota

4-day week (2 days at each site), 10 hour working shifts (various shift times between 7.30am-7.30pm), totalling 40 hours. 1 hour lunch break. Equal rota (1 in 6) for weekends and bank holidays. 2 days off in lieu of any weekends worked.

£45,000 to £65,000+ pa depending on level of experience/certificates/AP status
