Veterinary Surgeon – West Sussex

This role would suit an experienced and skilled Veterinary with 3yrs+ experience, with confidence in routine procedures & general practice.

Salary of £45,000-£60,000+ depending on experience/AP status/certificates.

Well equipped with extensive laboratory equipment, range of soft tissue and orthopaedic surgical equipment, diathermy and suction machines, digital x-ray and processing software, dental equipment, state of the art ultrasound machine.

Our client is a proudly independent growing small animal practice which is nestled in the heart of West Sussex, the area offers a peaceful village atmosphere with convenient access to nearby towns. Known for its scenic beauty, historic charm, and proximity to outdoor activities, it provides a tranquil yet vibrant lifestyle for residents.

The role will be 75% at a busy Branch Clinic and 25% at our client’s hospital. Our client has 2 state-of-the-art hospitals in the local area and 4 busy branch clinics in the local area.

You will join a highly skilled and tightly knit team of vets and nurses, boasting additional qualifications and extensive experience. Their Advanced Practitioner vets excel in referral-level surgeries, from orthopaedics like TPLOs to soft tissue procedures including BOAS.

The practice is well equipped with extensive laboratory equipment for in house blood and urine testing, a modern, comprehensive theatre suite, a complete range of soft tissue and orthopaedic surgical equipment, diathermy and suction machines, digital x-ray and processing software, dental equipment, state of the art ultrasound machine and endoscopy with video screen.

They have seen an exciting development and growth within the group and have a new referral service in ophthalmology, and success with a new hydrotherapy centre under rehabilitation, and the successful implementation of a new CT Scanner and service!

Our client is looking for an all-rounder GP Veterinary Surgeon with 3yrs+ experience, with confidence in routine procedures & general practice.

The Rota:

1. 40 hours per week over 4 days
2. Mixture of shifts (7.30am-6pm, 8.30am-7pm and 9.30am-8pm)
3. Daytime weekend rota
4. Bank holiday rota
5. Occasional on call
