Job description

Veterinary Surgeon
Location: Crosby, Merseyside
Hours: 40 hours per week, 4 days, 1 in 3 Saturdays or 1 in 6 weekends
This practice is excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly, professional team. Located in a charming practice, you will be part of a supportive environment that truly puts patients and clients first.

The Role
As an experienced and MRCVS-qualified Veterinary Surgeon, you'll deliver exceptional care with a client-centered approach, ensuring the well-being of both patients and their owners. You’ll demonstrate competence in clinical examinations and surgery, working confidently either in sole charge or alongside the wider team. You’ll share the values of being trustworthy, caring, and progressive, and have the softer skills essential for building strong, trusting relationships with your colleagues.

In this first opinion practice, you’ll have access to modern diagnostic equipment, including ultrasound, digital X-ray (including dental), and Idexx Catalyst, enabling you to continually develop your medical and surgical skills.

Your Skills & Experience

  1. RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon
  2. Proven experience delivering outstanding patient and client care
  3. Confident in working both independently and as part of a team
  4. Strong clinical leadership and communication skills
  5. Familiarity with nurse consults and schedule 3 procedures
  6. Skilled in coaching and mentoring colleagues
