JOB ROLE

• Responsibility for their clinical team when other vets are not available.
• Veterinary surgeon confident with most routine surgical cases.
• Freedom to define your own position within the clinic ideally with a special interest.

REQUIREMENTS

• Quality of experience is more important than quantity but would expect a suitable candidate to have a minimum of 2 years experience in practice and the ability to manage chronic diseases.
• Further qualifications are desirable but not essential.
• Veterinary surgeon.
• Experienced client care skills.
• Ability to coach others in the veterinary team.
• Surgical or medical certificate encouraged.

THE DETAILS

• 4 day week (8.45am till 6:30pm) plus one in five Saturdays 9-12 am [open to 3-day week pro rata].
• Additional 1 in 5 rota for hospitalised patient care.
• Emergency work OOH taken by Vets Now.
• 5 weeks holiday plus bank holidays.
• Starting salary £52,000.00.
• VDS & RCVS membership fees included.
