Purosearch Ltd. Sunderland is seeking a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon for an independent practice in Tyne and Wear. This full-time role (part-time considered) offers 100% small animal, first-opinion work in a supportive team with excellent nurses and in-house lab facilities.

The role features a 4-day week with one full day off, no on-call or out-of-hours work, and a strong emphasis on work-life balance and team wellbeing. Visa sponsorship can be offered; UK experience preferred.

Formación

• RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon
• At least 1 year of veterinary experience preferred
• Compassionate, patient-focused, and able to work independently
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Visa sponsorship available if required (UK experience preferred)

The Practice

This is a patient-focused, independent small animal practice that genuinely prioritises team wellbeing. The practice fosters a calm, supportive environment with an open-door policy, ensuring all team members feel valued both professionally and personally.

The practice is exceptionally well equipped, including:

• Comprehensive in-house laboratory
• Imagyst for same-day cytology results

The veterinary surgeon will be supported by an excellent team of highly skilled, qualified nurses, and the practice is proud to be a Registered Veterinary Nurse training practice.
