We have an exciting opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly team at Wakefield Vets for Pets.

Our purpose-built standalone surgery is located in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, just 20 minutes from Leeds, with the Yorkshire Dales nearby. Enjoy the bright city lights, excellent local amenities, and easy access to the countryside and beaches.

Conveniently situated at the junction of the M1 and M62, our location is ideal for exploring the country by car. It is also only 2 hours by train to London and 3.5 hours to Edinburgh. We prioritize work/life balance, so you can enjoy your surroundings.

Our surgery boasts state-of-the-art equipment, including a corneal diamond burr, high-spec ultrasound, surgical equipment for orthopaedic and soft tissue surgeries, and endosurgery tools for laparoscopic procedures.

This role offers flexible hours, full or part-time, with no out-of-hours or late nights. Ideally, you'll work some Saturday mornings on a fair rota shared with the team, but we are open to suggestions. We seek an experienced vet comfortable with sole charge and handling routine medical and surgical cases.
