Job description

Come join our lovely team in Yeovil!

We are looking for a sole charge Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly and supportive team at Wellpets in Yeovil. You will be warmly welcomed into our lovely team, who pride themselves on running a practice that meets the needs of our local community. You will be working alongside one RVN, one ANA, and a branch manager.

Be part of delivering clinical excellence

We are looking for a vet to work every Wednesday and Friday and to join the Saturday rota of 9am - 12.30pm every other week. There are no out of hours duties as this is provided by Vets Now. We run a well-structured diary which leads to a calm and efficient working day. This gives you quality time with your patients for 1:1 care. Our nurses are encouraged to contribute at every level, providing excellent clinical support and care.

Our practice sees a good mix of cases and as you will be the sole vet, your time will be split between consulting and surgery. Although this is a sole charge role, there is always another vet on the end of the phone at our Worle branch to discuss cases. We are looking for someone with a positive contribution to make, fresh ideas, and a collaborative approach to growing the practice, allowing you as a talented vet to enjoy your role to the full. Our motto at Wellpets is "treating pets like family" but we also extend this to treating our colleagues like family.

The town is surrounded by picturesque scenery and quaint villages, providing a happy medium for those wishing to live in the countryside but with the excellent facilities of a modern town close by.
