Job summary

inspiring vet care is seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join a two-site practice near Bath and Bristol as a Float Vet. This 12-month fixed-term role offers potential to become permanent, with a varied general practice caseload and opportunities to work across multiple locations.

You will perform GP duties, including consultations and surgery, at a supportive, team-oriented clinic with access to digital X-rays, ultrasound, in-house labs, and a dental suite.

Qualifications

  • Experience in clinical practice with growing confidence in routine medical and surgical cases.

Natures Vet are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join their fantastic team.

The ideal candidate will be interested in all aspects of general GP duties including consulting and surgery.

This is a 12 month fixed term position, with the chance to be permanent as a Float Vet to be mobile role across a number of locations.

You will join our 2-site practice with a small 'village' Vet site in Paulton (near Bristol) and a larger purpose-built site in Radstock (near Bath). We have a range of facilities including digital X-rays, ultrasound scans, a good range of lab equipment, blood machines, operating theatres, and a dental suite with dental x-ray.

The best part of working for our group is joining our team, we have a great team of vets supported by our support staff and registered veterinary nurses, who offer a wealth of experience and run daily consults. The practices also have a strong working relationship with Bath Vet Referrals should we need prompt advice or to refer a case. Across the team, we have certificate holders in anaesthesia and nutrition and we support our people in pursuing their interests.

As a Primary Care Veterinary Surgeon, you’ll work collaboratively with the wider practice team to deliver a high standard of patient and client care across a varied and rewarding caseload.

You’ll continue to develop your clinical skills and interests while sharing your knowledge and experience with colleagues, contributing positively to the clinical culture of the practice. You’ll be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering excellent care and supporting the ongoing development of those around you.

Working Pattern

We offer an excellent work-life balance for our team:

  • 39 hour week
  • 4 x 9.5 hour days
  • 1:4 Saturday morning
  • Fixed term for 12 months, but a permanent position could be considered for a Float Vet
