Job summary

IVC Evidensia is seeking a Primary Care Veterinary Surgeon for a 12-month fixed-term role across two sites near Bristol and Bath. You’ll handle general GP duties, including consulting and surgery, with a view to becoming a float vet if a permanent position arises.

You’ll join a supportive team of vets, nurses and specialists, with access to modern facilities and ongoing CPD. The role offers a 39-hour week, 4x9.5h days, Saturday mornings on a 1:4 rota, and DOE salary up to £65,000.

Qualifications

  • A Veterinary degree and registration (or eligibility to register) with the RCVS.
  • Experience working in clinical practice with growing confidence in routine medical and surgical cases.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • A proactive approach to learning, with openness to feedback and development.
  • Professionalism, reliability, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Salary Up to £65,000 DOE

Natures Vet are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join their fantastic team. The ideal candidate will be interested in all aspects of general GP duties including consulting and surgery. This is a 12 month fixed term position, with the chance to be permanent as a Flaot Vet to be mobile role across a number of location.

You will join our 2-site practice with a small ‘village’ Vet site in Paulton (near Bristol) and a larger purpose-built site in Radstock (near Bath). We have a range of facilities including digital X-rays, ultrasound scans, a good range of lab equipment, blood machines, operating theatres, and a dental suite.

The best part of working for our group is joining our team, we have a great team of vets supported by talented registered veterinary nurses, who offer a wealth of experience and run daily consults. We have student nurses and support staff. The practices also have a strong working relationship with Bath Vet Referrals should we need prompt advice or to refer a case. Across the team, we have certificate holders in anaesthesia and nutrition and we support our people in pursuing their interests.

You’ll be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering excellent care and supporting the ongoing development of those around you.

  • 4 x 9.5 hour days
  • 1:4 Saturday morning
  • Fixed term for 12 months, but a permanent position could be considered for a Float Vet
