Job summary

Inspiring Vet Care is seeking an enthusiastic GP Vet to join our team across eight sites in Bristol. The role involves providing holiday and sickness cover, with opportunities to work across various teams and sites, handling routine surgery and consultations, and occasionally sole charge.

You'll be supported by experienced Clinical Directors and Vets, with access to a wealth of expertise in areas like surgery, cardiology, feline medicine, and more.

Qualifications

• Veterinary degree and registration (or eligibility to register) with the RCVS.
• Experience working in clinical practice with routine medical and surgical cases.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Willingness to work across multiple sites and on sole charge when required.

Responsibilities

• Provide holiday and sickness cover across eight sites with varied caseloads.
• Deliver routine surgery, consultations and urgent/emergency appointments as needed.
• Support the clinical team and share knowledge to contribute to a positive clinical culture.
• Look after inpatients/ward duties and coordinate investigations when required.

We are looking for an enthusiastic GP vet to join our team. We have a lovely welcoming team across 8 sites in Bristol, run by an experienced team of Clinical Directors and Vets, many of whom have been with the practice for more than a decade!

This role will involve providing holiday and sickness cover across our eight sites, offering plenty of variety and the opportunity to work with different teams. We’re looking for a confident Veterinary Surgeon who is comfortable with routine surgery, consulting and working sole charge when required.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Veterinary Surgeon, you’ll work collaboratively with the wider practice team to deliver a high standard of patient and client care across a varied and rewarding caseload.

You’ll continue to develop your clinical skills and interests while sharing your knowledge and experience with colleagues, contributing positively to the clinical culture of the practice. You’ll be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering excellent care and supporting the ongoing development of those around you.

• Inpatient/ward shifts involve looking after our inpatients including any investigation required
• Seeing any urgent/emergency appointments throughout the day

Working Pattern

• 38.7 hours per week
• Four days per week 8.30am-6.30pm with occasional late shifts 10.30am-8.30pm.
• Saturday shifts (3 in 11): Fishponds - 9am-4pm, consulting only, Zetland Hospital - 8.30am-5.00pm, either consulting only shift or ward/inpatient/emergency shift
