A leading veterinary practice in Bridlington and Driffield is seeking a part-time vet to join their experienced team. The role offers flexible working hours, a supportive environment for continued professional development, and a competitive salary package including a welcome bonus and relocation allowance.
Salary up to £65,00 FTE DOE, plus up to £2,000 welcome bonus and up to £2,000 relocation allowance.
Priory Vets are looking for a vet just like you. We are advocates of good work/life balance and career satisfaction - you can have both!
The Role
We are well equipped to be able to build a role to suit your wants and needs. As a 3 site, RCVS GP accredited practice, with an experienced team including two certificate holders, we can support you not just with flexible hours, clinical duties and locations, but with continued development and varied caseloads too.
If you prefer a mix of consulting and surgery, that’s great, and certificate study is encouraged and fully supported if that’s your goal. We would also love to hear from you if your preference is consulting only - it’s a vital role in practice and we have plenty of opportunity to support you in this area. In addition, there are no out of hours or on-call work required by the practice.
Rota patterns that work for you
Our people are at the heart of everything that we do. Our flexible approach to rota patterns and working hours offers a balance that truly flexes with you and your lifestyle, no matter what stage you’re at in your career. We are looking for an additional part-time vet, working up to 30 hours weekly to include Fridays, 1 in 3 Saturday mornings and other additional mornings or days to suit.
About Us
Priory Vets are based at Bridlington, Driffield and Beeford. Each site offers superb equipment and facilities, including ultrasound, digital x-ray, dental x-ray and well-equipped laboratories and a high standard of inpatient care equipment. We are proud of our loyal client base and continuity of care is of great importance to the overall service we provide. Having been established for over 70 years, we have developed wonderful relationships within our local communities.
We are a happy team of vets, registered veterinary nurses, veterinary care assistants and client care advisors - we have a strong team ethic and we support each other in achieving great patient care, great client care and a great day for all at work. Although there’s no obligation, we do enjoy each other’s company outside of work and there’s a lovely social element to the practice too.
We’re based in a beautiful area of the UK - the East Riding of Yorkshire. The East Coast, North York Moors, Dalby Forest, Yorkshire Wolds and Howardian Hills are on our doorstep, which include famous walking trails such as The Cleveland Way. Quaint villages and countryside walks come as standard. We are also close to the historic city of York, and there’s easy access to Harrogate, Leeds and the Yorkshire Dales. Accommodation can be arranged.
Don’t just take our word for it, here’s what the team have to say about life at Priory:
“I have worked at Priory Vets since 2005, firstly at the Driffield branch and later in a senior role, at the Bridlington hospital. After a brief change of job, I returned to Bridlington in 2021. At Priory Vets, the friendly experienced team of nursing and reception staff and the lovely clients and their pets make a great working atmosphere. On the clinical side the practice has a good mix of medical (including inpatient facilities) and surgical cases and up to date equipment allows work up of cases with case continuity.” Clare, Senior Vet.
