We are looking for a full-time Veterinary Surgeon to join our team at White Cross Vets, Kings Heath.
The Role and Rota
Our full-time team members work 40 hours per week over 4 days, including Saturday rota participation. There is no out-of-hours requirement. The role involves a mix of operating (30%) and consulting (70%). Shifts are either consulting or operating, balanced evenly across the team monthly. The Saturday rota is 1 in 5, with TOIL provided for Saturday hours.
The Team
Our site has 7 FTE vets, 9 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 1 Student Veterinary Nurse, 3 VCAs, and 4 Receptionists. The vet team includes specialists in surgery, medicine, and imaging, with others working towards certificates. We encourage skill development and team bonding through social activities and wellbeing afternoons.
The Practice
Located on the edge of Birmingham with excellent links to the city center, our busy practice features 2 operating theatres, dental and imaging suites, digital x-ray, dental x-ray, a new scanner, and endoscope. We handle routine and advanced surgeries. We are dog and cat friendly, with separate waiting areas, and support certificates and CPD. We hold a silver cat-friendly award and are rabbit friendly. Our team includes wellbeing champions and antimicrobial stewards.
