Job summary

Crossroads Veterinary Practice in High Wycombe is seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join a three-site small animal team. You will share a varied caseload across High Wycombe and nearby branches, with strong clinical backing and opportunities to grow orthopaedics interests.

The role offers a full-time 40-hour schedule over four days, with 8–8:30am starts and 6–7pm finishes, weekends on a 3:7 rota, and no out-of-hours on-call as a Vets Now host practice.

Qualifications

• Veterinary degree and RCVS registration.
• Experience in clinical practice with growing confidence in routine medical and surgical cases.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Proactive approach to learning and openness to feedback.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high standard patient and client care across a varied caseload.
• Manage a mixed caseload including cats, dogs, rabbits and small furries; perform routine and some surgical procedures.
• Collaborate with the wider team across three sites with occasional cross-site coverage.
• Contribute to ongoing professional development and mentoring within the practice.
