12 month Maternity Cover for Veterinary Surgeon at Otter Vets, East Devon

We are seeking a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join our dedicated team at Otter Vets. The role involves first opinion work, including small animal consultations and surgical caseload, potentially including sole charge. There is also opportunity for mentoring junior colleagues. We offer flexible shifts to accommodate your needs; part-time applicants are welcome, and we are happy to tailor a rota that works for you.

Typically, our full-time Vets work 10 hours across 4 days per week, with 1:4 Saturday mornings. We prioritize work/life balance and are excited to offer a shift pattern that fits around you. Our practice has a history of over 70 years, providing veterinary care to our local communities.

Relocating to the area?

We operate two branches: one in the Jurassic coastal town of Sidmouth and another in the nearby market town of Ottery St Mary, Devon. We participate in various local charity events, including fun dog shows, coffee mornings, and Christmas stalls. Our supportive team comprises veterinary, nursing, and administrative colleagues working across both sites.
