Salary up to £65,000 DOE and up to £3,000 relocation allowance
We're looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeon to join our welcoming team at our small animal, first-opinion practice based in the charming market town of Oundle.
A Practice Where You Can Thrive
As part of a wider group with branches in Oundle, Thrapston, Peterborough, and Staverton, we provide comprehensive care for a variety of pets, primarily cats and dogs, with the occasional rabbit or guinea pig.
Our Oundle practice is bright and modern, equipped with three consult rooms, a well-stocked dispensary, a dedicated theatre, and separate cat and dog wards to ensure a stress-free environment for all our patients. You'll also have access to a full in-house laboratory, digital X-ray, and ultrasound equipment. While this role is primarily based in Oundle, there may be occasional travel to support our Thrapston and Corby branches.
You'll spend the majority of your time in consultations, but roughly a third of your role will involve surgery. In addition to routine procedures, you'll have the opportunity to get involved in more advanced work, including orthopaedic surgeries and laparoscopic spays. For complex imaging or endoscopy, we work closely with trusted referral centres.
Our RVNs play a vital role in the practice, running their own clinics in areas such as health checks, post-op care, and weight management.
Develop your career and find your people
You'll be joining a supportive and collaborative team made up of 8 Veterinary Surgeons, 11 skilled nurses, and 9 dedicated support staff. Our team includes a certificate holder in exotics, and we regularly welcome visiting specialists in medicine and orthopaedics.
Although we're a busy practice, we never lose sight of what matters, supporting one another, delivering exceptional care, and giving back to our community. We proudly support several local charities and value the strong connections we've built with pet owners across the region.
We are passionate about career development and will fully support your CPD, whether you're looking to pursue personal clinical interests or take the next step by working towards a certificate.
