Job summary

Seafield Veterinary Practice in Keith, Scotland, is seeking a motivated Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join a supportive team. The role covers consultations, soft tissue surgery, and dentistry across Keith with cross-site support to Banff and Buckie, offering a varied caseload and strong mentorship.

Flexible full-time options (4 or 5 days), weekend rotas, and opportunities for professional development are provided.

Qualifications

  • A Veterinary degree and registration (or eligibility) with the RCVS.
  • Some experience in small animal first opinion practice (new graduates considered with support).
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Confidence in routine consultations and basic surgical procedures.
  • A proactive approach to learning and development.
  • Flexibility and adaptability across multiple branch sites.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver consultations, medical workups, soft tissue surgery, and dental procedures.
  • Provide high-quality clinical care tailored to individual patient needs.

Seafield Veterinary Practice is looking for a motivated and confident Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly and supportive team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an all-rounder who is passionate about delivering high clinical standards while enjoying a varied and rewarding caseload.

The role is primarily based at our Keith branch, with occasional support across our Banff and Buckie clinics. You will be part of a well‑established, forward‑thinking practice that values collaboration, flexibility, and clinical development.

You will enjoy a broad and interesting caseload including consultations, soft tissue surgery, and dentistry, with opportunities for internal referral and case support across the group. Our Buckie branch also provides exposure to some exotics cases, adding further variety to your clinical work.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon, you will contribute to high‑quality patient care across a varied caseload.

Working Pattern:

  • Flexible full‑time options (4 or 5 days per week)
  • Weekend share and included in rota for OOH
  • Practice open 8:00am–6:00pm
  • Rotas designed to support work‑life balance wherever possible
