Job description

Salary up to £65,000 DOE, Welcome Bonus up to £5,000 plus Relocation Allowance up to £5,000

We are looking for an experienced small animal veterinary surgeon to join our team at Abbey Vet Clinic on a permanent basis. The role would suit an experienced clinician who is ready to take on more responsibilities and help to develop the skills and knowledge of more recent graduates, as well as their own.

We work 40 hours over a 4/5 day week with Saturday mornings shared on an equal rota however we are open to flexible working or part-time hours for the right candidate. No OOH requirement.

What you'll be stepping into

We have two well-established branches located in the picturesque towns of Arbroath and Forfar. Both branches are fully equipped with the latest veterinary tools, including iM3 dental machines, digital radiology, and IDEXX biochemistry and haematology equipment. We are committed to ongoing investment in our facilities. Recent refurbishment work is underway, and we will soon be installing a brand-new dental x-ray machine in our Arbroath branch to further enhance our dentistry services.

Our team currently consists of 4 experienced vets and 5 Registered Veterinary Nurses (RVNs), who have taken a hands-on role, running their own clinics. Our RVNs excel in a range of services, including nail clipping, post-op discharges and examinations, blood pressure monitoring, and blood sampling. We truly value nurse-led initiatives and the integral role our RVNs play in patient care.
