Job description

Salary up to £65,000 DOE plus up to £2,500 Relocation Allowance!

Taylor Veterinary Practice has a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join our large, friendly, and welcoming team of over 60 staff. Based in the southside of Glasgow, we are one of the oldest established veterinary practices in the world, having cared for animals in our community for almost two centuries.

Our experienced management team supports 17 vets and 14 RVNs, alongside a wonderful support team including ANAs, receptionists, an accounts manager, and insurance and pet health club administrators. Together, we deliver outstanding patient care across our busy main branch and three consulting-only branches.

We're excited to be nearing completion of a full refurbishment at our main Cathkin site, where we'll soon be operating from a brand-new, fully modernised facility. This is an exciting time to join our team as we continue to grow and invest in our future.

Work life balance that works for you

Our people are at the heart of everything we do, which is why staff well-being and work-life balance are a top priority. We're proud to offer flexible working hours and rota patterns to suit you-whether you're looking for a full or part-time role, we're open to creating a schedule that works at any stage of your career.

A typical full-time role involves working 9am-7pm, with a balanced mix of consulting and surgical shifts. Our Saturday rota is 3 in 8, with time off during the week in lieu, and there is no out-of-hours requirement.

Find a place to excel

At Taylor Vets, you'll be part of a collaborative and experienced team that includes vets holding or working towards post-graduate qualifications in medicine, surgery, ophthalmology, and ECC. You'll have the chance to develop your own clinical interests in a highly supportive environment where learning and progression are actively encouraged.

Our extensive services include laparoscopy, dental radiography, laser therapy, and ultrasonography (including input from a visiting peripatetic specialist), as well as access to a visiting behaviourist and a mobile CT scanner. Our patient care ethos is simple-we treat every pet as if they were our own.

Located in the vibrant southside of Glasgow, you'll benefit from excellent amenities and transport links, as well as the rich culture, green spaces, and lifestyle this historic city offers. Join us and be part of a practice where your skills will be valued, your voice heard, and your future supported.
