Job description

We're excited to offer a unique and flexible opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly and forward-thinking team across two well-established practices: Hall Place Veterinary Centre in Maidenhead and Cherry Tree Veterinary Practice in High Wycombe.

This shared role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their working day - offering the best of both worlds: the clinical challenge of a hospital-style environment with advanced facilities at Hall Place, and the rewarding connection of a village-style practice embedded in the local community at Cherry Tree.

The Role

Your week will be a mixture of consulting and surgery, with some sole charge. You'll enjoy a 4-day week with weekends on a shared rota, and no out-of-hours or bank holiday work. We're open to discussing part-time options to fit around your lifestyle and commitments.

You'll be working alongside a 13-vet team, including several certificate holders in surgery, internal medicine, and cardiology, offering ample support, collaboration, and clinical growth.

About the Practices

Hall Place Vets is a multi-site practice centred around a beautiful converted barn in Pinkney's Green, surrounded by Berkshire countryside. The hospital and branches offer excellent facilities including:

  • Digital x-ray, ultrasound, and video otoscopy
  • Dedicated dental suite with dental x-ray
  • Isolation facilities, slit lamp, tonopen & more
  • Air-conditioned throughout

Cherry Tree Vets is a well-loved village practice with a loyal client base and strong ties to the community. You'll have the chance to really connect with clients while maintaining high clinical standards.

Why Join Us?
  • A varied and rewarding caseload across two complementary practice settings
  • A welcoming, experienced, and supportive team culture
  • Clinical freedom and autonomy - your ideas and input are valued
  • Flexibility to suit your career stage and personal life
  • Ongoing support for development and certificates
Benefits
  • Competitive base salary
  • 6.6 weeks annual leave, inclusive of bank holidays
  • Additional holiday entitlement for your birthday
  • Private Medical Insurance
  • Employee Assistance Programme: 24/7 confidential helpline
  • Enhanced family-friendly policies, including maternity/paternity/adoption/shared parental and surrogacy pay
  • Initiatives focused on employee wellbeing
  • £1250 CPD allowance with 40 hours paid CPD leave pro rata
  • Certificate support
  • Learning and development opportunities via the IVC Evidensia Academy
