Job summary

inspiring vet care in Burnham-on-Sea is seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join a supportive team with a varied caseload and strong emphasis on development. You’ll work alongside another vet, with autonomy to shape services and access to 24-hour inpatient care at the main branch.

Flexible working options include a 4-day week averaging 38 hours, no OOH after 7pm, and a pathway for certificates, advanced training, and leadership opportunities. The team values collaboration and clinical excellence.

Alongside another vet on rotation, you’ll have the autonomy to shape the service while knowing you have the backing of a wider team of certificate holders in medicine. You will also have the sound knowledge that we offer 24 hour inpatient care at our main branch where you can send emergency cases over.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Veterinary Surgeon, you’ll work collaboratively with the wider practice team to deliver a high standard of patient and client care across a varied and rewarding caseload.

You’ll continue to develop your clinical skills and interests while sharing your knowledge and experience with colleagues, contributing positively to the clinical culture of the practice. You’ll be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering excellent care and supporting the ongoing development of those around you.

Working Pattern

• Flexible working – full or part-time options can be considered, tailored rotas
• Fixed day off
• No OOH – covered externally after 7pm
• 4-day week averaging 38 hours, between Monday and Saturday.
