Job description

We are looking to recruit either an experienced poultry vet or an experienced vet with a keen interest in poultry to join our West team. New graduates with an interest in poultry would be considered for the role through our internship programme.

As the leading independent poultry practice in the UK and Ireland, we have consistently grown due to the quality and integrity of our service, and our drive to innovate.

Please note that we are looking for someone with RCVS registration or with a current qualification that will enable that.

Location

Our vacancy is based from our Wem or Leominster Branch.

About us

We currently have 15 practice bases throughout the UK and Ireland with an established team of 28 vets. As a business, we strongly focus on supporting and investing in our teams and have earned a reputation for attracting and developing quality vets, either through our internship scheme or providing already established vets with diverse and interesting career paths.

Our independence has enabled us to establish a business that is free from corporate influences, allowing us to focus on our core values whilst providing employees with flexibility and opportunities for advancements and ownership. We are proud to have created a supportive family culture within the organisation.

About the role

We provide on-farm independent consultancy to the Broiler, Layer, Turkey, and the Game Bird industries. You will be required to liaise with all customers from farmers to integrators, developing strong relationships built on trust and delivery of first-class clinical care.

As innovators in our industry, we have developed technologies and products to improve animal health and productivity. You will be required to apply these data systems to provide actionable insight. All employees are encouraged to develop key skills and knowledge as part of their targeted career development while striving to deliver high-quality work.

About you

You will need to have a genuine interest in epidemiology, flock health, welfare, and production, with an analytical mind and attention to detail with documentation and reports. You must hold strong communication and interpersonal skills at all levels and want to form part of our dynamic and friendly team.
