Veterinary Surgeon – Interest or Certificate in Ophthalmology

Liverpool | £50,000 – £65,000 DOE | Full-Time, Permanent

We’re working with a well-equipped and forward-thinking veterinary practice in Liverpool who are looking to welcome a Veterinary Surgeon with either a certificate in ophthalmology or a strong interest in pursuing one.

???? The Role

This full-time, permanent position (39 hours per week) is ideal for a small animal vet with 3+ years of post-qualification experience and a drive to specialise or further develop in ophthalmology. You’ll be part of a multidisciplinary clinical team delivering exceptional standards of patient care, with the opportunity to shape and grow the ophthalmology offering.

Day-to-day, you’ll carry out a mixture of consultations, surgeries and case workups, supported by a friendly and experienced team. The practice is equipped with excellent facilities and you'll be encouraged to work up cases to a high standard.

Who We’re Looking For

  • MRCVS-qualified Veterinary Surgeon with at least 3 years' experience
  • Ideally holding a certificate in ophthalmology, or actively working towards one
  • Passionate about providing high-quality clinical care
  • Confident, compassionate, and a great team player
  • Strong communication skills and client-first approach
