A leading veterinary practice is looking for a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join its MiNightVet team in Stoke-on-Trent. Offering a competitive salary up to £80k pro-rata, the practice supports career development and flexible working arrangements, with access to extensive training and support in emergency care. Ideal candidates will be confident in working sole charge and willing to participate in an emergency care training program.
MiNightVet Stokeis a dedicated out-of-hours emergency provider for local veterinary practices. We have 39 small animal out-of-hours MiNightVet practices across the country to ensure 24/7 joined up care. We have an exciting new opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our practice with a salary of up to £80k FTE, depending on experience.

Location:
Stoke-on-Trent is one of the mostup and coming cities in the UK! In 2022 Stoke topped the list of the best up and coming places to live. Made up of 6 towns, Stoke is situated in Staffordshire, with links to Birmingham in the South and Manchester to the North. Prospective home buyers or people renting in the area will appreciate the local amenities and attractions including the amazing Alton Towers theme park (great day out!).
Competitive house prices are a big draw to the area. Stoke is classed as one of the most affordable areas of Staffordshire. The M6 Motorway between the Midlands and Scottish Borders is within easy reach, and the A50 connects Stoke with the M1 between London and Leeds. Manchester International Airport is less than 45 minutes away and Birmingham & East Midlands Airport are within an hour's drive too!
Our Candidate:
Ideally you will be a Veterinary Surgeon who is confident with working sole charge. With an RVN on site through the night and access to our OOH Vet network, there is heaps of support available! Once employed, you will be given the opportunity to join our ECCelerate course. This training programme will ensure that our Veterinary Surgeon can deliver the best possible outcomes for every emergency case that they see, whether the case presents at 2pm or 2am. The aim is that colleagues will be confident enough to deliver great care to emergency cases in a real-life environment with the equipment, and medication that they have available.
Rota:
We embrace flexible workingand shift patterns and would be very happy to discuss a reduced number of nights per month if you are looking for a part-time role. Tell us what works for you! To give a guide, for full-time, our OOH Vets worktypically working 1:4 weeks, but not always 7 on 21 off. Our salary range is based on a 40-hour working week.
