Qualifications

  • Solide expérience en médecine vétérinaire générale (GP).
  • Motivé à développer ses compétences avec un soutien pour des certificats.
  • Intérêt pour l'échographie ou la médecine interne est un plus.

Responsibilities

  • Gérer un cas varié incluant orthopédique et médecine d'urgence.
  • Assurer des consultations et des interventions chirurgicales avec un bon équilibre travail-vie.
  • Collaborer avec l'équipe vétérinaire et les infirmières vétérinaires.

Job description

Are you an experienced vet looking to join a team where you can develop new skills and truly achieve your career ambitions? What if you could do so with the support of an advanced practitioner and a diverse, knowledgeable team behind you?

A thriving small animal practice based in Totton, Hampshire, is currently seeking an additional veterinary surgeon to support ongoing growth and an expanding client base. This independent-minded practice offers a unique opportunity to work alongside a multi-certificate holder in small animal and emergency surgery, with further interests in exotics and zoology.

The practice sees a varied caseload that includes orthopaedics, soft tissue, emergency work, and exotic speciesproviding an excellent platform for learning and professional development. The veterinary team is supported by 3 experienced RVNs, a student nurse, and a friendly, efficient reception team, creating a collaborative and positive work environment.

What to expect:
  • Structured working days with time allocated for both consultations and surgeries

  • Last consult at 6pm; practice closes at 7pm to support work-life balance

  • Full-time role preferred, but flexible/reduced hours considered

  • Shared Saturday rota (9am12pm) consultations and emergencies only

  • No out-of-hours (OOH) commitment

What were looking for:
  • Solid GP experience

  • Confidence in occasional sole charge

  • Team player with strong communication skills

  • Dedication to high clinical standards

  • Interest in ultrasonography or internal medicine is a bonus

  • Motivated to develop, with certificate funding/support available
  • Whats on offer:
    • Salary up to £60,000 (commensurate with experience)
