Job description

Are you looking to take the next exciting step in your veterinary career? Dreaming of making a real impact, with clinical freedom, the chance to shape your future, and the support of a close-knit, forward-thinking team?

We’re working in partnership with a brand new, independently owned small animal practice that opened its doors in the Summer of 2025. Located on the North Yorkshire Coast, this is a rare opportunity to be part of something fresh from the very beginning.

Whether you’re keen to help build and grow a practice, or simply enjoy a varied caseload with continuity and clinical autonomy, this could be the perfect move.

What’s on offer:
  • A role where your voice matters – help shape the practice from the ground up
  • Full support in setting up and developing the practice, with access to keyhole surgery at a nearby sister site
  • Competitive salary dependent on experience + bonus scheme
  • 40 hours across 4 days (8.30am–6.30pm) with protected breaks
  • Saturdays (8.30am–12pm consults only) on a rota with time back in lieu
  • No OOH, no on-call, and no Bank Holiday working
  • Accommodation available for those relocating
  • RCVS & VDS fees paid
  • £1,500 CPD allowance + 4 days off – certificate support actively encouraged
  • Visa sponsorship available
Why choose this practice?

Because it's independent. That means real clinical freedom, quicker decisions, and no top-down corporate hierarchy. You’ll have the autonomy to follow through your cases, shape how things are done, and feel genuinely valued.

The leadership team embraces change, invests in its people, and is dedicated to fostering a collaborative, supportive culture. You'll be surrounded by qualified and experienced support staff from day one, and there’s a strong commitment to helping every team member pursue their interests – including funding for certificates and specialist training such as laparoscopic surgery.

Location Perks:

Work in a charming North East coastal town offering beach walks, a relaxed pace of life, and easy access to larger towns and cities. Whether you're relocating or already local, it's a great place to achieve that elusive work-life balance.
