Job description

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering exceptional client service and high-quality care across a varied caseload. With a split of approximately 70% small animal, 20% farm, and 10% equine work, this role offers great diversity and scope to grow. You'll be part of a supportive environment where your skills will be nurtured, and your career can truly thrive-all while having fun along the way

What you'll be stepping into

Our people are at the heart of everything that we do, that's why we know that work-life balance is vital in supporting our people to be their best selves. Our flexible approach to rota patterns and working hours offers a balance that truly flexes with you and your lifestyle no matter what stage you are in your career.

The full-time hours for this role would be working 40 hours per week across 4 days, with a share in 1 in 4 weeks on call & 1 weeknight on call. We are open to speaking to candidates that are looking for part time or flexible working hours.

Why join our team?

Our practice is ideally situated on the outskirts of the stunning Lake District, just 30 minutes from the fells, lakes, Hadrian's Wall, and the scenic borderlands. It's a fantastic location for anyone who enjoys the great outdoors and wants to make the most of their time outside of work.

At Eden & Border Vets, we pride ourselves on being an inclusive, supportive, and fun-loving team. Our philosophy is simple: treat every pet as if they were our own. We go the extra mile to ensure our patients feel relaxed and comfortable, making each visit as stress-free and positive as possible-for both animals and their owners.

We're a forward-thinking practice that values collaboration, actively involving all team members in clinical discussions and the ongoing development of our processes. Across Eden & Border, our combined team includes 9 dedicated vets, 7 registered veterinary nurses, 1 student veterinary nurse, 1 animal care assistant, a practice director, and a fantastic reception team. We are a nurse training practice and strongly encourage CPD and professional development across all roles and disciplines.
