Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon – Tier 3 Hospital Practice | Hampshire | Up to £83K DOE

We’re currently supporting a well-established Tier 3 Hospital-status small animal practice in Hampshire in their search for two new veterinary surgeons to join their dynamic and forward-thinking team.

This is a rare opportunity to work in a thriving, well-equipped hospital environment with a large, supportive team that values collaboration, clinical freedom, and individual career aspirations.

The Role

  • Full-time or flexible part-time hours available – rota built around your work/life balance
  • Contribution to OOH is light and negotiable, thanks to a dedicated hybrid OOH team
  • Clinical caseload includes both routine and advanced medical/surgical work, depending on your experience and interests
  • Opportunity to develop your role over time – ideal for those with leadership potential or advanced skills

About the Practice

  • Hospital-status practice located in a National Park/coastal region with excellent transport links
  • Large and experienced team: 19 vets, 21 RVNs, 3 SVNs, including multiple certificate and diploma holders
  • Equipment includes digital X-ray, ultrasound, laparoscopic and endoscopic kit, full in-house lab (with lab technicians), dentistry suite, ICU, and advanced surgical facilities
  • Also provides a referral ophthalmology service and has access to advanced orthopaedics via a visiting specialist

What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years’ experience in small animal practice
  • Good all-round clinical and diagnostic skills
  • Strong team player with a proactive and positive attitude
  • Interest in further development or specialisation encouraged but not required

Package & Benefits

  • Salary up to £83,000 DOE and contribution to OOH rota
  • 6 weeks holiday (including bank holidays) plus an additional day’s leave for each of the first 5 years
