Are you a passionate and experienced small animal vet looking for your next opportunity in a thriving, independent practice with a strong sense of purpose and community? Established in 1986, my client has proudly served the pets of Royal Tunbridge Wells for nearly 40 years. They are now looking for a dedicated veterinary surgeon to join their friendly, knowledgeable team on a full-time basis.

This well-established practice is on a mission to help pet owners keep their companions as happy and healthy as possible for as long as possible. Education, prevention, and compassionate treatment are at the heart of everything they do, with patient welfare always taking priority. Their facilities are modern and fully equipped, featuring two state-of-the-art operating theatres including a main sterile theatre for all surgical procedures. You'll have access to top-notch diagnostic tools, including an ophthalmoscope, otoscope, X-ray, ultrasound, ECG, and a well-equipped in-house lab.

The current team is small but mighty, comprising a highly experienced veterinary surgeon, a registered veterinary nurse with a passion for exotics and British wildlife, and a welcoming receptionist who’s been a familiar face at the practice since 2011. The role itself offers a balanced mix of consultations and surgery, with some sole-charge evening consults. The position follows a fixed rota of 36 hours per week, with no out-of-hours work required, making it ideal for someone who values work-life balance.
