Job description

Locally owned since 2020, we first opened in 2014 and have retained the same team since then. If you are looking to join a small, friendly practice with a great reputation in the local area, we have the role for you here at Yeovil Vets for Pets.

About us

The practice is going from strength to strength and is an extremely successful business, providing a first-class service to our loyal client base. We have been RCVS accredited 'Outstanding' for Client Care and Inpatient Services.

The practice is based in a stand-alone building on a busy retail park with ample parking and nearby amenities. We're only a 5-minute walk to the train station, close to the town centre, just 1 hour from destinations like Exeter, Bath, and the coast!

The team

You will join practice owner Claire, a multi-certificate holder, working alongside an experienced and supportive vet team including David, who has owned his own practice and is an excellent mentor, and Marian, a 16-year qualified vet with a passion for surgery. Our team also includes nurses, VCA, and Client Care Advisors.

Our culture and the role

Claire supports a healthy work/life balance, prioritizing wellbeing to enable the team to provide excellent care. The role can be full or part-time, with a clear diary structure, regular team catch-ups, and standard 20-minute consults. The practice closes at 6 pm on several days, and the weekend rota is 1 in 3 Saturday mornings.

About you

We seek a colleague with solid GP experience, strong communication skills, and a passion for high-quality veterinary care. Being a team player is essential.
